Alma is a mexican writer. She has published the books LA CABEZA DE MI PADRE which since 2022, the year of its publication, is one of the best selling novels in Mexico and that led to its distribution in Colombia, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Peru and the USA. She is also the author of the books CUENTOS DE MALDAD (Y UNO O OTRO MALDITO), EL NIÑO QUE FUIMOS under the Alfaguara label; LAS NOCHES HABITADAS (Del Bolsillo Editorial) and DAMAS DE CAZA ( Plaza Valdes Editorial).

She has collaborated in the development of the historical series ANTONIETA about the life of Antonieta Rivas Mercado for Fábrica de Cine; and developed the original ideas and scripts for Amazon Audible for the series CIUDAD DE ABAJO (fantastic horror) starring Alfonso Herrera, CONVERSACIONES starring Maya Zapata (Dramedy) and EL AMOR ES UN BONO NAVIDEÑO; She also wrote the audio series 10 MUJERES for Amazon Music and Dudas Media narrated by actresses such as Angélica Aragón, Yalitza Aparicio, Mabel Cadena, Bárbara Mori, Morganna Love, among others. Along with other writers, she wrote the second season of the series SEÑORITA 89 for Fábula and StarzPlay. She is currently developing an audio series for Amazon and a TV series for HBO.

Alma writes a column in the mexican newspaper El Reforma and has contributed to The Washington Post, Confabulario from El Universal, El Malpensante, Univision Trends, El Malpensante (Colombia), GQ Magazine and other media. She has a sharp, reflective and subversive pen. Funny and with a lot of black humor.
