David Pablos

He studied at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica and received a master’s degree from Columbia University. His films have participated in the official selections of prestigious film festivals such as Cannes, Venice, San Sebastian, Morelia, etc. He has received four Ariel awards, first in 2010 for his short film “La canción de los niños muertos”, and then in 2016, for his second fiction feature film “Las elegidas”, which won Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay.

In 2021 he released his third fiction feature film “El baile de los 41” on Netflix, worldwide. He directed the first four chapters of the series “La cabeza de Joaquín Murrieta”, soon to premiere on Amazon Prime in late 2022. He is a member of the National System of Creators.
