Santiago is a Mexican writer-director with a master’s degree in Directing from the American Film Institute. He has worked as a screenwriter in various comedy projects, including the pilot for “Saturday Night Live Mexico” with Eugenio Derbez and the film “La boda de Valentina” with Marimar Vega and Omar Chaparro. He directed and wrote the adaptation of his debut film “Hasta que la boda nos separe”, a comedy produced by Lemon Films and Timur Bekmambetov that premiered in May 2018 and was one of the highest grossing Mexican movies of that year. Also in 2018, he co-directed with Catalina Aguilar Mastretta the film “Cindy la Regia” and wrote and directed the film “No me Quiero Enamorar” produced by Inna Payán. Both films are distributed by Videocine and premiere in 2020. He is one of the directors for season 2 of “La Casa de las Flores” and showrunner of an upcoming Netflix miniseries titled “La Búsqueda”.
