Luis Mariano García is a screenwriter and director born in Cuautla, Morelos. He graduated from UNAM’s Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC).

His first feature film, Efímera, had an important run at festivals in 2022, with presence at Guadalajara International Film Festival, Guanajuato International Film Festival, the Morelia International Film Festival and the Sydney Mardi Gras Film Festival. . In addition to winning the Audience Award at the 24 Laughs per Minute festival. And will soon begin its commercial run.

He’s a two times finalist in the Guanajuato International Film Festival's Feature Film Screenplay Contest, as well as in the Fernando Mendez Horror Screenplay Contest. He has also been a recipient of the IMCINE Creators Incentive. As well, he has written and developed projects for important companies such as Cinépolis Producción, HBO Latin America and TV Azteca. Also, he was a Screenplay Collaborator for the feature film Mal de Ojo.
