Jesica Aran

Jesica Aran is a writer and director best known for the TV series Pájaros Negros (2016) and the sci-fi short film Abaddon (2018). She is also the creator of CAMPAMENTO NEWTON (2022), a live-action; show that aired on Disney Spain.

Her work has been recognized by the Argentine National Film Institute for production or development, and her scripts have been finalists in pitch sessions at prominent international markets like Series Mania, Conecta Fiction, MIPTV, NATPE, Pixelatl, and Ventana Sur.

Currently, Jesica is finalizing post-production on Vamos Viendo, her second series as director and first as showrunner. She is also the creator and script coordinator of OLVIDA MI NOMBRE, a TV series in development for RTVE Spain, and one of the scriptwriters of a series soon to premiere on Netflix. Passionate about storytelling, Jesica enjoys the creative challenge of turning stories into reality. She specializes in creating fiction TV shows and feature films, often leading writing teams to develop pitch and sale documents. With comics published in Argentina and Italy, she also worked on concepts for animated kids series.

Se especializa en crear series de televisión y largometrajes de ficción, liderando equipos de guionistas para desarrollar documentos de presentación y venta. Con cómics publicados en Argentina e Italia, también ha trabajado en conceptos para series animadas infantiles.

Beyond writing and directing, Jesica provides script consultancy and script doctoring services while offering ad hoc consulting for companies and other writers. She studied TV scriptwriting at ECAM (Spain) and furthered her education with classes from James V. Hart and Thania St. John at the Sundance Institute.
