Jimena Gallardo

Jimena studied Human Sciences at the Claustro de Sor Juana, and screenwriting at the Cinematographic Training Center (CCC). She has worked for Netflix, MAX, TV Azteca, Televisa, Canal Once, National Geographic, Food Networks and Warner. It is the creator, executive producer and writer of the fiction series CRONICA DE CASTAS, directed by Daniel Giménez Cacho, which was broadcast with great audience success and review on Canal Once and Netflix, and premiered in the United States on NBC Universo.

She adapted the Argentine series LA CHICA QUE LIMPIA for HBOmax. Jimena wrote the documentary TEOTIHUACAN MISTERIOS DEL INFRAMUNDO, with which she won the award for best script Pantalla de Cristal. She collaborated in the development and writing of the second season of the series INGOBERNABLE. She wrote the miniseries LOS NIÑOS DE MORELIA, co-produced by Dopamine Content and Plano a Plano (Spain). As well as EL DIARIO DE FRIDA, for Miracol (Colombia); and LA ANATOMISTA and KEPT, for Campanario Entertainment (USA). It is in post-production of the documentary series of his authorship CÁMARA ENTRE BALAS, about eight leading international war correspondents, which is produced by HBOmax and Ancine (Brazil).

Jimena completed the writing of the film THE KILLING OF A NATION, an international production project directed by the Oscar nominee and winner of three Emmys, Carlos Bolado. She is currently writing a series for Paramount, and developing two more series with producer Leopoldo Gout (Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich, Molly's Game). Jimena is an active member of the Writers Guild of America West. This 2024 the series she co-adapted will premiere: COMO AGUA PARA CHOCOLATE for Warner.
