Aura García-Junco is a writer and screenwriter. She has published two novels, ANTICITERA, a toothed artifact (FETA 2019, Booket 2022) and MAR DE PIEDRA (Seix Barral 2022); a book of essays EL DÍA QUE APRENDI QUE NO SÉ AMAR (Seix Barral 2021) and a book of autobiographical narrative DIOS FULMINE A LA QUE ESCRIBA SOBRE MÍ, (Sexto floor, 2023). In 2014, 2017 and 2020 she was a scholarship recipient from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts; and in 2016, from the Foundation for Mexican Letters. In 2021 she was selected by the prestigious Granta magazine as one of the 25 most outstanding young narrators in Spanish.
Since 2020, he has been working as a scriptwriter for films and series with platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Vix and Lionsgate. Highlights include BELASCORÁN (2022, Netflix), the second season of SEÑORITA 89, PINCHES MOMIAS (Vix, 2023) and LA LIBERACIÓN (Amazon, 2024). She is currently working with the director and writer Kyzza Terrazas on a feature film project whose script was selected for the Story Laboratory of the Morelia International Film Festival in this twenty-first edition.
