She studied communication at the Ibero-American University, a Screenwriter from the Foundation for Audiovisual Research of the Menéndez Pelayo University in Spain, Montserrat Larqué is a Screenwriter and Director who since her beginnings has carried out projects that reflect the feminine identity and vision.

Winner of the Silver Goddess for Best First Feature for her film ALLÁ, a project developed in the Ibero-American Film Project Development Course (Carolina Foundation) and with which she obtained Direct Support for Screenwriting from the IMCINE. It was part of the International Co Production Forum at the London Raindance Film Festival and premiered in competition at the Guadalajara International Film Festival 2023. It inaugurated the Portland Latin American Film Festival, and then traveled to several Latin film festivals such as Houston, Charlotte, Chicago and Orlando. She had eleven nominations for the Diosas de Plata and at the Great Mexican Film Festival she won the awards for Best Actor, Actress, Direction and Film. It will be released commercially in the second half of 2024. Awarded in the First National Competition for Short Film Projects, to direct her first script VENENO in which she directed Ignacio López Tarso, it was selected at the Cine de Huesca, Expresion en Corto, and IV Irish festivals. Latin American Film Festival, Internacional de Curtasmetragens de Sao Paulo and the Quinziemes Rencontres du Cinemas d'Amerique Latine Toulouse, among others.

Her short film ¡QUE VIVAN LOS NOVIOS!, with Silvia Mariscal and José Sefami, was winner of the First Regional Short Film Project Competition of IMCINE 2016, nominated for the Silver Goddesses as best short film of the year and official selection in Egypt at El Gouna Film Festival among others.

She directed the campaign Gender violence lives among us, a project selected in the Equality Shorts call organized by the Worldwide Audiovisual Women's Association and the Lifetime channel. Her first series IN VITRO was the winner of the Gabriel Figueroa Film Fund at the Los Cabos Film Festival and was optioned by Irreversible Pictures and Room Service with Fernando Lebrija, Max Zunino and Rodrigo Ordoñez.

For now, she is working on the development of a feature film produced by Elsa Reyes from Zensky Cine.
